Valspar Championship 2025 – Field, Tickets, and Prize

  • 6 min read

In recent years golfers like Taylor Moore (2023) and Peter Malnati (2024) have marked their names in golf history. For 2025 the top contenders will be Justin Thomas, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Jordan Spieth.

Valspar Championship 2025 Field

The Valspar Championship 2025 will be played at the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, Florida. Innisbrook Resort is a popular golf and spa resort in Palm Harbor, Florida. This par-71 course is famous among PGA Tour players for its tough layout and beautiful views. Holes 16, 17, and 18 are known as the “Snake Pit” of the field.

Near the 16th tee is the “Be Bright by Valspar Experience” where fans can relax and enjoy premium golf. Along the 14th fairway is the “Captain Morgan Bar” where you can buy rum-based drinks. Overlooking the 13th green and 14th tee is the “Cabot Deck” where you can get snacks and drinks. Between the 9th green and 10th tee is the “Expo Grove” where you can find sponsor expos. “Fan Seating presented by Famous Tate” at several locations across the course with some of the best views especially at the 18th green.

Near the 8th green is the “Family Fun Zone presented by The Polywogs” where kids and families can play games and a putt-putt course. Behind the 18th green is the “Frenchy’s Pool Party” where Frenchy’s famous food is served.

Breathable polos and lightweight golf trousers are the best for Florida's warm and humid weather. Mornings and evenings can be a little cool so a golf vest or mid-layer can be a good idea. For grip and stability on the Copperhead Course, waterproof golf joggers are a must.

Format of 2025 Valspar Championship

The tournament format is standard stroke play where golfers play 72 holes (4 rounds) and aim to get around each hole in as few strokes as possible. On the first two days (Thursday and Friday) all players play. After these two rounds a ”cut” is made and usually the top 70 players (including ties) make it to the weekend rounds (Saturday and Sunday). In the tough layout of this Copperhead Course, the infamous “Snake Pit” holes 16, 17, and 18 holes often decide the tournament.
